Paradise

Seems like our goals as Americans are a little out of wack. Can't say I haven't thought the same things at times. Seems like we have all lost touch with reality and truly acting as if the almighty dollar is what its all about. It wasn't that long ago I had my priorities straight. Worked two jobs to make ends meet, struggled mightily to accomplish such. But yet, seemed so much happier about it all. Maybe it was cuz I was in control of all I was doing. Now seems like everyone else has control and its beginning to spiral out of control. Maybe faith is the key. Putting faith where it belongs instead of in what we have been putting faith in is where everything gets screwed up. Sure makes you put it all in perspective with the economy and our morals hittin the skids. Sure makes you begin to rethink things and consider putting things right. I think we could all use a little of this.

  1. i think faith only gets u so far. u have life and will and what u do w/ it is ur own. u have to have faith that u will do the right thing at the right time. faith doesn't put u in control of ur fate. faith makes sure u have something to control....

  2. Faith, dreams, trust & even reality change over time. We all have 'em, all of them are as different as we are. Sometimes the feeling, or even the "high", has you right where you want to be. This might be different as you mature, as things change, or how the world has changed.

I have my own faith. However there are times when I am soo pissed off with my faith, I choose not to follow it. An example would be the lose of a loved one, a really extraordinary individual. I'm not the type to reach for an answer, "it is in the cards", when I am forced to deal with people of lesser quaility, than that of your loved one. I don't buy it, never have, never will.

There are times that we, as individuals, have no control off. Nothing can be done able it, change it, or help in it. Like someone killed in a car wreck, yes we could and do imagine all of the what if's. What if she wasn't driving? What if she was going just a hair slower? A case of wrong place and wrong time.

We can even be in the right place at the right time, yet we have no control over the situation, be it a situation involving a few minutes or a lifetime. Somebody, some dummy down the road making decisions, choices, etc.

Sometimes we choose to use our heads, sometimes we choose to use are hearts. And that can put us into entirely different situations based on what you choose, or even who you do not choose.

There are many things that change us, we must adapt or we will lose our faith, our dreams or our goals. Sometimes we are in control, sometimes............

  3. To go further. Point being when you quit worrying about the petty, not so important stuff and concentrate on what is important your road tends to smooth out some. Too much time is spent reacting to what and how other situations tend to dictate to you rather than you doing the dictating. My faith is unshakable, what changed is the way is was being used. Oddly enough when loved ones are involved (Father, countless others) I always seem to strengthen my faith, cuz in reality they seem to be far better off going to the hereafter than what we are stuck with. What we do here to make things bearable is what matters and thats what I think we lose sight of sometimes. The job? Well, could be here today gone tomorrow. People like us will still survive because of who we are. Ok, done with being so dramatic.
